Text Box: WHITE ROCK FALLS
4.6 MILE LOOP
Text Box: Take a short trail, starting at the picnic table, that intersects with the slacks trail running below the overlook, and go right. Follow the ridge, with views into the Sherando Lake area, until it intersects with the White Rock Trail. Turn right to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Drop over the other side of the BRP into a scenic hollow, formerly homesteaded, with many old stone walls. The trail will cross a creek and climb steeply beside numerous waterfalls. Near the top, a side trail to the right will take you to White Rock Falls. Backtrack, and continue to the top of the cliff, with a great view of Twenty Minute Cliffs and the Tye River Valley. A short distance through laurel thickets brings you back to the parking area.
