Text Box: ST. MARY’S FALLS
Text Box: The trail begins at the back of the parking area and follows the St. Mary’s River up the gorge and into a designated wilderness area. Flooding has wiped out most of the trail, making it hard to follow, and necessitating several stream crossings. The trail will split, with a sign pointing to the falls going left and the continuation of the St Mary’s trail going right. The falls are approx. 1/4 mile further to the left. Going right, the trail climbs along the very scenic Sugartree Branch and deeper into the wilderness. The falls are very popular during the summer so get there early!
